How I got here...

I used to be a secretary when I met my husband, Dan. He worked with sheet metal and I was so in love! Before you know it...we were married with two kids (Nathan and Tim). Two boys is a real handful...but, I was luckily able to quit my job and spend time with the boys.

My husband has always been a hard worker, and had a really good job...and we were devastated when he was laid off a few months ago. He gets unemployment, but it's not enough. We don't live high on the hog, but we had a hard time getting by. We both started to panic. I couldn't afford daycare, and we live in a small town where Dan has been looking everywhere for work. There just isn't opportunities like there might be in the city.

So, I was browsing on the internet and saw some ad for Google Home Business kit. I just closed my eyes and ordered it. It was scary because I am not a computer "whiz," and I didn't want to get ripped off...but I felt desparate, and thought that at least if it had the Google name on it, it was probably pretty good.

When I finally got everything, luckily it was easy to learn and took me step by step through everything. At first I didn't know if it would help...but I've only been doing this for a couple of months and I'm already making half of my husband's salary working on a "mom schedule" (part-time).

I expect that in a few weeks, I'll be making Dan's whole salary back using Google biz! But that's me. If you are pretty good at computers, you'll probably be making way more sooner....

...the best thing is that I still get to be a Mom.

I know that there are likely a lot of women out there (and men too) in my situation, so I wanted to start my blog to show people where I found something that really worked. It's endorsed by CNBC.com and Businessweek....it gave me the courage to try....
